Cortina D’Ampezzo

Welcome to Cortina d'Ampezzo – my go-to spot where alpine magic meets incredible dining. I've put together a personal guide, cherry-picking the coolest and classiest restaurants that capture the true essence of Cortina's charm. Whether you're into timeless trattorias or cutting-edge culinary experiences, each spot tells a story of this Dolomite paradise. Cheers to good vibes, great bites, and the intimate allure of the Dolomites!

Hotel Cristallo

The Hotel Cristallo, Cortina's first luxury establishment since 1901, has been a symbol of opulence and a catalyst for the region's global recognition. Known for hosting celebrities and serving as a film backdrop, it has evolved with time. The iconic 1930s indoor pool persists, catering now to a sophisticated clientele seeking contemporary luxury experiences. With features like alpine yoga and a modern local cuisine restaurant, the hotel adapts to changing tourism trends. The recently introduced Destination Authority concierge service guides guests off the beaten path to discover their personalized Cortina. Embodying the past and present, the Hotel Cristallo remains a beacon of luxury in this renowned destination.

San Brite

Ricky Gaspari's San Brite, holds a special place in my heart. Awarded a Michelin star in 2020, this gem showcases contemporary mountain cuisine crafted with philological precision. Rooted in a family's steadfast commitment to traditional cultivation and breeding, San Brite's journey from slope-side catering to gourmet cuisine is inspiring. The menu, rich in locally sourced ingredients from the family farmhouse, reflects a genuine love for the region. For me, it's the perfect introduction to Cortina—a true favorite.

Alajmo

Alajmo Cortina boasts a stunning interior, and I absolutely loved it! The ground floor houses a charming bar, while the restaurant spans two floors. The traditional ambiance, rich in wood accents, is complemented by a dynamic and youthful team. The cuisine primarily highlights regional flavors, but the menu also offers creative options, including fish, on both tasting and à la carte menus.

Baita Piè Tofana

Baita Pié Tofana is amazing! A splendid chalet enveloped by the breathtaking nature of the Ampezzo Dolomites. It's my go-to escape from the hustle of the city, a place where summer offers solace and winter brings relaxation. This historic gem has undergone a modern transformation, emerging as a chic retreat for fellow foodies and wine enthusiasts like me.

Chalet Tofana

Chalet Tofane, named after the Ampezzo dialect for "lantern," was originally a small hut serving the old Socrepes ski lift before the 1980s. Since then, it has undergone renovations and expansions, including the recent addition of a veranda offering guests a view of the access slope to the legendary Tofane mountains. Additionally, it's a fantastic spot for après-ski relaxation.

Alverà

A delightful patisserie in the heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo, boasting 104 years of sweet history. From its humble bakery beginnings, it evolved into an Olympic-era pastry shop and now serves as a trendy café with a bistro vibe. Offering a blend of tradition and modernity, indulge in miniature cakes, homemade viennoiserie for breakfast, seasonal delights like panettone, and summer treats like ice cream.

Hotel la Posta

At La Posta, you can enjoy a traditional meal and immerse yourself in the charm of Cortina's old and captivating days.
